Summer is a great time to take your dog out and about with you. We have compiled a list of the best dog friendly walks around your area so that you and your pup can get out and explore nature!
Dogs love to run; sometimes we can’t always keep up. That’s why off-leash dog parks and walks are a great way for your pup to burn off that excess energy and build on their social skills as well. Make sure to always pay attention to signs and regulations as many dog friendly areas will require your pooch to stay on their lead.

A leafy riverside trail that includes the option for a meander through an ex-convict farm and racecourse that is otherwise known as New Farm Park. Through this walk, near the Brisbane Powerhouse is an off leash dog park for your dog to run free. Close by to this walk is Oxlade Drive which is very dog friendly. Providing water bowls for the dogs and great coffee for us humans.

As well as the park, dogs are also permitted to cool off in the river. This doggy destination is a greats place to take the whole family, with a children’s playground, jetty and picnic shelters.

This will build on your pups socialisation skills whilst keeping them happy and active.

Summer is a great time to get outdoors with your dog. Remember to always make sure you have water for your furry friend and that the ground is not too hot for their sensitive paws. A great way to test this is the five second rule – place the back of your hand on the ground for at least five second, if you are unable to hold it there it is too hot for your dog to walk.
